Where to begin?
HI all,
I'm the Chief Engineer of a broadcast company with four small/medium radio stations. As per FCC law, any radio station that maintains an off-site transmitter must also maintain a full-time remote control & monitoring system to it.
That being said I've never been satisfied with the industry-standard systems, which generally start at $8,000-$10,000 for a single studio/transmitter pair with only 8 or 16 monitor channels. I look at those, and then I look at an ADAM 4051, which only costs $125.00 and I laugh.
So, I want to replace everything with ADAM products, since I'm already somewhat familiar with the 4000-series after working with them at another company.
Since I'm just starting my system-design education, I'm looking for some kind of "ADAM for Dummies" guide online.
Does anyone have any suggestions for reading & learning?
